PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Aaron Doucet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svend Haraldsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Doucet might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pop Evil - Trenches. Svend Haraldsson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doucet throws a hook but Haraldsson blocks it.

Doucet jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Doucet definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Doucet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Haraldsson's coach down at Fitness elite 24/7 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haraldsson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Haraldsson scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Doucet to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Haraldsson tries to bum rush Doucet with a series of wild strikes but Doucet uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Haraldsson scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Doucet to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Haraldsson away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Doucet got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!
Haraldsson lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Doucet crumples to the floor! Haraldsson milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
