Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Watford Gap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Potter Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter Dunn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Watford Gap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Potter Dunn!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn misses with a double jab

and Gap counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gap trying to mount his opponent but Dunn defends it.
Dunn tries to roll over but Gap keeps him under control.
Gap looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dunn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Gap wants to take a breather but Dunn is having none of it.
Gap knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dunn on the ground.

Dunn wants to improve his position but Gap is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gap has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dunn regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gap wants to pass the guard but Dunn is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dunn is trying to hold Gap in close to prevent damage but Gap has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gap postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gap distracts Dunn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dunn wants to sweep but no luck.
Gap has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Gap is in close to Dunn's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dunn is trying to control the position but Gap postures up.
Dunn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dunn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gap stands up over Dunn, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gap is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dunn has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gap is looking to defend but Dunn has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gap! Dunn pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gap taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Potter Dunn!
