Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Octavius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Octavius .
Williams pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Williams throws a lazy right hand but Octavius sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Despite the aggression on Octavius 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Gaius Octavius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams throws a hook but Octavius blocks it.
Octavius with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Williams to score with a decent uppercut.
Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Octavius , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Williams connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Williams takes a swing at Octavius 's ribcage but misses.
Crunch! Williams slams his shin into Octavius 's torso.
Williams looks to throw the jab but Octavius is out of range.
Octavius moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.
Octavius shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Williams but Williams pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Williams could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Octavius takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Williams cracks a nice hook into Octavius 's ribs.
Williams connects with a right hand. Octavius shakes it off.
Williams thuds his shin into the meat of Octavius 's side.
Williams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Williams lands a nice looking kick to the body. Octavius takes a step back to recover.
Williams is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Williams darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Williams lands a big head kick that sends Octavius tumbling to the mat! Williams takes a step backwards and waves Octavius back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Octavius is still on wobbly legs! Can Williams finish him?
BOOM! Williams lands a beautiful left hook that drops Octavius . Octavius tries to recover but Williams is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Octavius lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
