Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Conger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown's entrance music is Rob Zombie - Dragula . A fine choice. Matt Brown is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Conger!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conger connects with a solid leg kick.

The fighters circling - Brown throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

It looks like Josh Conger has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Conger has a hand on Brown's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Brown takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Conger loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

and Conger takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Brown avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

As Brown backs off Conger throws a huge counter combo but Brown manages to avoid it all.

Conger feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Brown will probably get the nod.

That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Conger is just out of range.

Conger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Conger fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Conger throws out a loose jab but Brown uses good head movement to avoid it.

It looked like Brown was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Conger has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Conger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Conger pulls Brown in close to his closed guard and prevents Brown from doing any damage or advancing position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conger looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Conger is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Conger wants to get back to full guard.

Josh Conger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The fighters circle, before Brown throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Conger's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Brown lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Matt Brown!
Matt Brown decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
