The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basher is looking to clinch but Woods is avoiding it.

Basher closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Woods quickly recovers to half guard.
Woods is looking for a sweep. Basher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woods kicks Basher off and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basher misses with a body kick.

Woods shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Basher wants to get back to his feet but Woods is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Basher pushes Woods off looking to stand but Woods dives back in and keeps control.

Woods thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Woods will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Woods prevents Basher from getting back to his feet.
