And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jakob Silfversberg!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silfversberg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shula quickly recovers to half guard.
Silfversberg is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Silfversberg throwing shots but Shula is blocking nicely.

A lull in the action here as Silfversberg stalls from top position.
Shula takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Silfversberg prevents Shula from escaping the position.
Silfversberg works to advance to full mount. Shula defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Silfversberg throwing strikes here but Shula is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Shula wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Silfversberg.
Shula is bucking up trying to escape but Silfversberg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Silfversberg lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
My spies in Nights Watch MMA Academy inform me that Silfversberg has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Silfversberg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shula looks a forlorn figure.
