And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gubby shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gubby was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Anthony managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gubby.

Gubby is trying to get an arm triangle but Anthony is defending well.
Gubby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anthony keeps working.

Gubby decides to take the fight back to the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gubby slips a jab and a cross from Anthony.

Gubby closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gubby lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gubby wants to stand but Anthony is controlling his posture from full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anthony trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Gubby trying to control the position from guard on top but Anthony is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anthony manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gubby manages to get himself to full guard.

Anthony would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Anthony keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gubby's head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Anthony throws a big elbow that misses.
Anthony loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Gubby working a defensive guard here.
Gubby has control of Anthony's left arm, preventing Anthony from doing any damage.
Gubby has a closed guard, preventing Anthony from standing up.
Anthony throwing strikes from guard but Gubby blocks nicely.
Gubby is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Anthony with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Anthony tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Gubby lands with a shot to the body.
Anthony misses with a hook. Gubby ducked under it nicely.
Gubby wants to clinch.
Anthony misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gubby drops Anthony with a beautiful combination! Anthony stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Gubby is looking for the KO!

Anthony is rocked!

It looks like Thaddeus Anthony has been cut.
Anthony misses with a two punch combination.
Oh Anthony is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gubby is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Anthony is in big trouble! Gubby is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Anthony. Poor guy.
