Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conovar Rigante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rigante looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Durham fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rigante looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Rigante really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Durham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Durham slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rigante wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Durham is now in half guard.
Rigante is trying to control but can't.

Durham is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rigante wants to improve his position but Durham is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Durham fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Durham walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rigante.

Conovar Rigante dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rigante shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rigante showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rigante lands a nice short elbow.
Rigante is keen to just control but Durham is a slippery customer.
Durham wants to control but Rigante is keeping busy.
Rigante winds up and cracks Durham with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Durham has hold of Rigante's hands but Rigante slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Rigante takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Conovar Rigante has got the better of the ground game so far.

Rigante thows a huge punch but Durham dodges it nicely.
Rigante wants to take a breather but Durham is having none of it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rigante throws a lazy right hand but Durham sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rigante scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rigante throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Durham is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rigante.

Rigante lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Durham blocks a head kick by Rigante.
Rigante fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rigante misses with a two punch combination.
Rigante has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Durham avoids a kick to the body.
Durham tries to counter with a takedown but Rigante is quick to defend against it.
Durham shoots for a takedown but Rigante saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rigante swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Durham swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A head kick from Rigante lands but Durham takes it in his stride.

Rigante closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Durham did well to prevent Rigante getting side control.

Durham looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Durham has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rigante. Oh but Durham has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rigante goes limp - he's gone! Durham jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
