The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pellegrini cracks a nice hook into Tanba's ribs.
Kazushi Tanba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tanba bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Tanba takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

so Pellegrini counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Pellegrini is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tanba is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tanba has escaped and now he's on top!

Pellegrini is looking for a triangle but Tanba pushes his legs off easily.

Pellegrini escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pellegrini is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Tanba has his hands clasped together but Pellegrini extends and breaks Tanba's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pellegrini.
