The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Thompson as he checks the leg kick.
Asap connects with a leg kick. Thompson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Asap throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Asap lands with a thumping leg kick.
Thompson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Asap.
Asap chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Asap tried to score with a low kick but Thompson checks it.
Sfly Asap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Asap closes the distance and clinches.
Asap tries a knee to the head but Thompson blocks it.
Thompson is trying to break the clinch but Asap has him pressed against the cage.
Thompson trying to control the position but instead, Asap has worked for underhooks and has pushed Thompson into the cage.
Asap lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asap is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Thompson tries to break Asap's hands from around his neck, Asap unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Thompson will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
