PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alocke Grenado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pointek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Pointek's choice of entrance music: Sevendust - Enemy. The key to victory for Alocke Grenado has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grenado lands an overhand right.
Grenado wants to clinch up but Pointek keeps it at a distance.
Pointek throws a sloppy head kick and Grenado moves out of range easily.
Pointek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Grenado.
Grenado lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Grenado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pointek fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grenado manages to avoid it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Grenado lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
