PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tnt. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kruger!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gein ducks under a wild hook from Kruger.
Kruger looks to score with a jab to the body but Gein is just out of range.
Gein wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Gein swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Gein has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sun Ra and his Arkestra's training camp in the buildup to the fight.
Kruger thuds a left hand into Gein's body.

The crowd cheers as Kruger lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gein doesn't seem phased though.
Kruger fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gein manages to avoid it.
Gein tries to counter by clinching up but Kruger breaks away and moves out of range.

You get the feeling that Kruger really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Gein has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kruger is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gein.

John Kruger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kruger has his foot on Gein's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gein works his way back into a safe position though.

John Kruger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kruger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
