Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garfield Mcknight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Del Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Garfield Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Del Kent!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent dodges the punch combination from Mcknight.

Kent fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mcknight to the ground. Kent is now in Mcknight's guard.
Kent is looking to stand up but Mcknight won't let him.
Kent is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kent wanted to stand there but Mcknight had control of the position.
Mcknight is pulling down on Kent's head. It's preventing any offense from Kent, at least for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kent seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcknight wants to get back to his feet but Kent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mcknight keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kent throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mcknight clinches up with Kent and pushes him back against the cage.
Mcknight goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kent prevents it.

Mcknight decides to pull guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kent wanted to stand there but Mcknight had control of the position.
Mcknight has Kent pulled in close to control his posture.
Kent in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kent trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcknight is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kent works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcknight trying to hold on to Kent's head to control him but Kent postures up.
Mcknight is controlling Kent's trapped leg to prevent Kent from advancing to side control.
Kent wants to stand but Mcknight has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcknight misses with a jab, cross combination.

Kent closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kent lands in his opponent's guard.
Kent trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kent has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mcknight is proving hard to escape from.
Kent wants to stand and escape but instead Mcknight has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Kent controls Mcknight momentarily but Mcknight frees himself.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Del Kent dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Mcknight gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kent to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kent wants to control from the top but Mcknight keeps moving.
Kent showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kent passes Mcknight's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Well, if Kent is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mcknight actively working from the bottom here.
Kent slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Mcknight defending well though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mcknight trying to hold on to Kent's head to control him but Kent postures up.
Kent is looking to advance position but Mcknight won't allow it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mcknight avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kent shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mcknight is trying to defend but Kent finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Del Kent has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kent seems to be working for a kimura but Mcknight defends the submission attempt.
Kent throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kent throwing shots but Mcknight is blocking nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kent with the ground and pound but Mcknight uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Kent wants to stand and escape but instead Mcknight has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Kent has Mcknight pulled in close to control his posture.
Kent has momentary wrist control but Mcknight slips an elbow through the middle.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kent wants to sweep here but Mcknight controlling him for the moment.

Kent looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Del Kent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Mcknight lands a slapping body shot.
Mcknight chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kent can pounce on him.

Kent throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcknight tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kent is in Mcknight's guard.
Kent prevents Mcknight from getting back to his feet.
Mcknight seems keen to control Kent's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcknight wants to get back to his feet but Kent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kent has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kent is looking to work some ground and pound but Mcknight has wrist control.
Kent is looking to pass into half guard but Mcknight pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mcknight is in guard.

Kent controls Mcknight momentarily but Mcknight frees himself.
Mcknight throws a big elbow that misses.
Kent is trying to control the position but Mcknight postures up.
Mcknight lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mcknight throws a big right hand that misses.

Mcknight throwing strikes but missing.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kent closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcknight to the mat! Mcknight manages to get full guard.
Kent tries to stand but Mcknight is controlling from the bottom.
Kent must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mcknight pulls Kent in close to prevent any damage.
Kent looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Mcknight looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kent closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mcknight's guard.
Mcknight keeping moving, preventing Kent from controlling successfully.
Kent throws an elbow that misses. Mcknight uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kent's guard. Nice move by Mcknight!

Garfield Mcknight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Del Kent is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mcknight wanted to stand there but Kent had control of the position.

Del Kent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kent winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
