Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jabari Jelani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jelani throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jelani pivots, looking for a leg kick but Huerta is out of range and Jelani settles back down.
Huerta showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jelani.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jelani or perhaps it was just good defense by Huerta, which made it look bad.
Jelani fails with the takedown

and Huerta counters by moving into the clinch.
Huerta is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Huerta gets through Jelani's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jelani dodges an elbow strike from Huerta.
Huerta lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Jabari Jelani has been cut.
Huerta with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Huerta pushes off an throws an elbow but Jelani leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Huerta lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Jelani takes an elbow to the forehead.
Huerta struggles to land a body shot inside as Jelani controls his hands.
Huerta misses with an elbow over the top.
Jelani blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Huerta has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Jelani goes down! Huerta dives on top of him - Jelani manages to get guard.

Jabari Jelani's cut is getting worse.

Huerta stands up from Jelani's guard - Huerta perhaps looking for a knockout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jelani shoots in but no luck this time.
Huerta is looking for the big counter here.

Huerta scores with a head kick. Jelani tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Jabari Jelani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jelani shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huerta as he avoids it easily.
Huerta let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Huerta lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jelani backwards.

Jelani wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Huerta has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Huerta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Huerta lands a hook to the side of the head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jabari Jelani's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
