Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Davenport (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Axazel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Axazel!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axazel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Axazel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Davenport fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Axazel to the ground. Davenport is now in Axazel's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Axazel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've been hearing that Davenport has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Davenport is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Axazel working for a triangle but Davenport defends it easily.
Davenport stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Axazel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davenport accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Davenport is posturing up here but Axazel has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Davenport tries to roll out but it's too tight and Davenport has to tap! Slick submission there by Axazel!
