The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loredo throws a series of punches but Cavalcanti moves out of range.

Loredo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cavalcanti circles away quickly and effectively.

and Cavalcanti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Loredo's guard.

Cavalcanti has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Loredo pulls Cavalcanti in close to prevent any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cavalcanti seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
