Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wallace Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Taslim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taslim has chosen La Coka Nostra - "Mind Your Business" as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Taslim!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taslim looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Owen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Taslim slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Owen wants to stand up but Taslim is controlling him.
Taslim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Taslim told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Owen is on top in guard.

Taslim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Owen's guard.

Oh Owen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Taslim postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Owen covers up, he's hurt! Taslim keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Taslim and the ref steps in to end the fight! Taslim can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Taslim!
A relieved looking John Taslim thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
