PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hideki Higkiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scooby Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hideki Higkiko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scooby Ali!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higkiko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Higkiko tries to score with a low kick but Ali moves his leg out of the way.
Ali misses with a body punch
and Higkiko counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ali is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ali avoids the head kick by Higkiko.
Hideki Higkiko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Higkiko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Higkiko throws a sloppy head kick
and Ali counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A shot to the liver by Ali. Beautiful body shot.
Ali throws a body shot but no joy.
Ali lands a nice shot to the body.
Higkiko misses the jab.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ali crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Higkiko - the referee stops the clock and Ali gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Higkiko. Ali manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ali looks for the body kick but Higkiko saw that one coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ali looks to score with a jab to the body but Higkiko is just out of range.
As Ali tries to get set, Higkiko tries to push him back and clinch up but Ali manages to avoid the attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Ali.
Higkiko throws a wild body kick that Ali sees coming a mile off.
Ali is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Higkiko rather than just go for the knockout.
Ali misses with a body shot.
Higkiko thinks about countering with a head kick.
Ali throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Higkiko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ali finds it's way round the side to connect with Higkiko's head.
Ali ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Higkiko goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Higkiko definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Higkiko misses with a body kick.
Higkiko is breathing heavily.
Higkiko misses with a low kick.
Higkiko pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ali scores with a shot to the body.
Ali swings for the body but Higkiko moves out of range.
Higkiko appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Higkiko avoids the head kick by Ali.
A swing and a miss from Ali.
Higkiko throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ali checks a leg kick.
Higkiko misses with a kick to the body
and Ali counters with an outside leg kick.
Ali bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ali scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Higkiko on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Ali lands a big right hand that sends Higkiko crashing to the mat! Ali stays standing though and waves Higkiko back to his feet!

Higkiko is rocked!
Higkiko takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Oh Higkiko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Higkiko leaves his chin hanging out and Ali seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Higkiko crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
