Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jody Felterbush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Miyaichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jody Felterbush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryo Miyaichi!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Felterbush lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Miyaichi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Miyaichi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Felterbush shoots in and gets a takedown into Miyaichi's guard.
Felterbush in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miyaichi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Felterbush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miyaichi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Felterbush is fighting to break Miyaichi's control of his arms but Miyaichi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Felterbush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Felterbush has his foot on Miyaichi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miyaichi works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Felterbush working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Miyaichi has passed into half guard!

Miyaichi is looking for a kimura but Felterbush is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miyaichi to get the leverage.

Felterbush working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyaichi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyaichi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close round but I would say that Jody Felterbush will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Miyaichi checks a leg kick.
Felterbush on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Felterbush throws a head kick but Miyaichi moves out of range.

Miyaichi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Jody Felterbush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Felterbush changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Miyaichi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Felterbush looks up at the clock and then as Miyaichi takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Felterbush smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Felterbush is landing with some decent strikes but Miyaichi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jody Felterbush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Felterbush cracks Miyaichi with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
