PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Army (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrzej Sternik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Army comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger Army - Incorporeal. Sternik has chosen Skillet - Monster as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sternik shoots in for a double leg but Army sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sternik looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sternik sizes up Army with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Army slaps away a takedown attempt from Sternik, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Army lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tiger Army will probably get the nod.

Army feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sternik working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Army doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Army manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
