Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Megadeth-Trust. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ramirez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lawson.

Lawson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ramirez moves away.
Ramirez shoots in looking for a takedown. Lawson tries to sprawl out of it but Ramirez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lawson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ramirez in particular looking to stall.
Ramirez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lawson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ramirez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
