PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kalazzar Scar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Million (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Million!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Million shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scar pinned against the cage. Scar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Million checks the leg kick nicely there.
Scar thows a body kick. Million tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Scar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Scar.
Million fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Scar tries a head kick but it misses.
Million tries to clinch there but Scar circles away.
Scar leaves Million with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kalazzar Scar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Million.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Million gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Million landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Scar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Million is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Scar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Scar is trying to force a seperation but Million has the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Scar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Come on Million - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Million breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Million tries to clinch but Scar is having none of it.
Scar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Million manages to avoid it.

Million throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Kalazzar Scar has been cut.
Scar moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Scar throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Scar stuffs the takedown.
Scar jabs at Million's body.
Million keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Scar throws a combination that misses
and Million counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Million moves into the clinch successfully.

Million lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Scar is trying to push Million away but Million has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Million using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Scar is breathing heavily.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
I was talking to Scar's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Million has picked Scar up - he's going for a ride! Million dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Scar looks like he's trying to stand up.

Million stands up out of the half guard.

Million darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Million keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Scar is refusing to be controlled, as Million sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Million dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kalazzar Scar's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A head kick misses from Million.
Horrible takedown attempt by Million or perhaps it was just good defense by Scar, which made it look bad.
Kalazzar Scar is winning the standup battle so far.

Scar gets caught napping as Million dives in and scores a takedown. Scar manages to retain guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Scar is looking to stand back up but Million counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Scar.
Scar wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Million wants to free his trapped foot but Scar is holding on for dear life with his legs.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Million.
Million throws a series of punches but Scar avoids them all with ease.

Scar misses with a hook. Million ducked under it nicely.

Million has taken the fight to the clinch.

Million changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Scar fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Million tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scar paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Scar throws a left and a right that both miss

and Million counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Million.
Scar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Scar can't break the clinch.
Million tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Scar wants to break free but Million has control.

Million gets control of Scar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Million will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Scar wanted to stand there but Million had control of the position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Million is looking for a triangle but Scar pushes his legs off easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Million can do anything to dispel that myth.

Million is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Scar misses with a combination

and Million counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Million not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Million wants to control from the top but Scar keeps moving.

Max Million showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Scar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Million shoots for a takedown but Scar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Million takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fight stays on the outside here - Million looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Scar counters with a head kick. That will keep Million thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Max Million is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kalazzar Scar.
I think Million has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
