Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sheldon Robinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Seto Takiama!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takiama throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Takiama is in Robinson's guard.
Robinson has control of Takiama's left arm, preventing Takiama from doing any damage.
Takiama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Robinson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Takiama is one step ahead there.
Robinson can't keep his opponent in guard - Takiama advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Takiama seems to be looking for submissions.

Takiama is trying to work for a kimura but Robinson is defending well.

Takiama is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robinson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Robinson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Robinson forces Takiama back against the cage and clinches.

Robinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Takiama darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Takiama wants to pass to mount but Robinson is defending the position.

Takiama is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Robinson is just riding it out for now. Takiama eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Takiama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robinson keeps working.

Takiama is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Robinson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Takiama.

Robinson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Robinson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Takiama dives on top into guard.


Takiama drops back, looking for a kneebar! Robinson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Robinson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Robinson!

Robinson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Robinson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
