Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Claymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Claymore is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Limb by Limb. Winston Claymore will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curtis Tate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Winston Claymore!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Claymore.
Claymore jabs Tate right on the nose. Tate blinks but takes it well.
Claymore lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Both fighters circling a little - Claymore finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Tate drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tate sitting in guard here, content to control.
Tate advances to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Claymore wants to get back to full guard.
Tate keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Tate is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Claymore defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tate frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Tate looking to control and managing it successfully.
Tate definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Claymore is working to get back to half guard.
Tate looking to ground and pound but Claymore is blocking nicely.
Claymore can't escape the position.
Tate tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Claymore keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Claymore tries to improve his position but instead Tate has taken his back!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Tate controlling the positon.

I really don't envy Claymore right now.
Tate is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Claymore is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Tate gets his way!

Tate working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Tate controlling well, preventing Claymore from escaping the position.
Claymore keeps trying to improve his position.
Claymore covering up well under a series of strikes from Tate.

Tate patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Claymore just trying to survive but Tate is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Tate looking to break Claymore's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Claymore remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Tate will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Claymore lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Tate has taken the fight to the clinch.
Claymore tries a body shot but Tate blocks it.
Claymore tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Claymore misses with a punch to the body.

Tate's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Claymore scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Tate is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Claymore can do to turn this around?
Claymore clobbers Tate with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Claymore bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tate's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Claymore bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tate's head backwards.
Tate ducks under a wild hook from Claymore.
Curtis Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Claymore turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Claymore. Those never looked like landing.

Tate scores with a takedown into Claymore's guard.
Claymore doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tate slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Claymore is looking to sweep but instead, Tate has passed into half guard.
Tate controlling the action here.
Claymore avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tate.

Still in half guard, Tate seems content to control.
Claymore blocking the ground and pound attempt from Tate.
Claymore wants to get back to full guard.

Tate decides to stand and escape the position.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tate.

Claymore lands a high kick!
An inside leg kick lands from Claymore.
Claymore scores with a jab to the jaw.
Claymore connects with an inside leg kick.
Tate defending well as Claymore loads up on a big left hand.
Winston Claymore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tate throws a nice looking combination but Claymore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Claymore sizes up Tate with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Tate shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Claymore is trying to defend but Tate finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Tate seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Claymore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tate. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tate has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Tate is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Claymore is just riding it out for now. Tate eventually gives up the hold.
Tate wants to pass the guard but Claymore is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winston Claymore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Tate tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Claymore defends well and Tate ends up having to push Claymore into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tate keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Claymore's efforts to push away.
Tate blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Claymore tries to work over Tate's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Claymore has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Claymore misses with some punches.
Tate has Claymore pressed against the cage, preventing Claymore from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Tate pulls guard effortlessly.
Tate keeping moving, preventing Claymore from controlling successfully.

Claymore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Claymore looking to sit in guard and control but Tate gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Claymore working a defensive guard but Tate passes into half guard.

Tate unloads with some shots from mount but Claymore bucks and avoids them well.
Tate lands with some strikes.
Claymore tries to lock up and control but Tate gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Claymore is in all sorts of trouble here.

Tate throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Claymore because Tate loaded up on that one.

Claymore tries to hold on but Tate postures up.
Claymore might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tate haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Tate is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Tate!

Curtis Tate got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
