Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aoki dips to his left and cracks Malone with an uppercut!

Aoki cracks Malone with a right hand to the side of the head.
Malone takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Malone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aoki sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Malone tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Aoki lands with a straight right. Malone didn't see that one coming.
Malone is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Aoki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malone has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aoki finds it's way round the side to connect with Malone's head.

Aoki moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Malone goes down! Can Aoki finish him!?

Malone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Aoki's guard.

Malone wants to control from the top but Aoki keeps moving.

Malone seems to have got his legs back now.

Malone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Aoki pushes Malone off looking to stand but Malone dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Malone seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Malone is keen to just control but Aoki is a slippery customer.
Malone is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Aoki is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Malone is looking to clinch but Aoki is avoiding it.

Aoki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like George Malone has been cut.
Malone shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Aoki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Malone sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Aoki lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Malone tries to close the distance and clinch but Aoki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Malone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Malone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aoki is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Malone had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Aoki connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Malone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aoki.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Aoki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Aoki is looking to stand up but Malone isn't so interested in that idea.

Aoki wants to stand and escape but Malone is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Aoki might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Decent striking displayed by Aoki there.
Some bone on bone action there as Malone checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Malone forces Aoki back against the cage and clinches.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Aoki. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Malone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aoki connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Malone! He's out on his feet! Aoki rushes in and drops Malone with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Shinya Aoki!
A relieved looking Shinya Aoki thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
