PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown and Andrew Martin. Martin has chosen Downstait - This Is My Life as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Brown sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brown closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Martin quickly recovers to half guard.
Martin tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control.

Martin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brown pulls his head out easily.
Brown seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Martin's legs - danger averted.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Martin working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Martin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Brown here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

A relieved looking Leroy Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
