Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Castle.

Castle throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gonzalez.

Castle swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gonzalez counters with a one-two to the body.

Castle shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonzalez napping and manages to drive through into side control!

and Gonzalez finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Castle dives in for a single leg takedown but Gonzalez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Castle is trying to break the clinch but Gonzalez has him pressed against the cage.
Gonzalez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

and Gonzalez counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Castle dives in and scores a takedown into Gonzalez's guard.
Gonzalez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Gonzalez chips away with some ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Castle can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gonzalez prevents Castle from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chung Gonzalez will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Castle drops Gonzalez with a beautiful combination! Gonzalez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Castle is looking for the KO!

and Gonzalez counters with an outside leg kick.

Castle throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gonzalez counters with a three punch combo that has Castle backing up. Castle nods at Gonzalez to acknowledge the strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Horrible takedown attempt by Castle or perhaps it was just good defense by Gonzalez, which made it look bad.
Castle is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez dives in for a single leg takedown but Castle sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Castle is pressed up against the cage. Gonzalez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Castle down to the mat. Castle avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Gonzalez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Castle lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Castle lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gonzalez backwards.

Gonzalez jumps guard but Castle turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Castle lands a big right hand that drops Gonzalez! The killer instinct kicks in and Castle finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Castle!
