Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Great Cornholio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Cornholio has chosen Du Hast by Ramstein - Cornholio Mix as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Ryan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Great Cornholio!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a hook but Cornholio blocks it.
Cornholio tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Ryan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ryan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Cornholio throws a head kick that misses.

Cornholio fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ryan, pushing him back against the cage.
Cornholio wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ryan wants a takedown but no success here.
Ryan can't get the takedown.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cornholio pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Ryan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ryan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cornholio has time to react.

Cornholio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ryan.

Cornholio shoots in but Ryan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ryan attempts a counter takedown but Cornholio avoids it well and moves away.
Ryan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cornholio defends well and Ryan ends up having to push Cornholio into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ryan throws a shot from downtown. Cornholio moves away and avoids it.

Ryan lands with a kick to the temple. Cornholio shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Cornholio misses with a takedown attempt - Ryan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cornholio looks to land a combination but Ryan avoids it well.
Cornholio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cornholio wants it to stay on the feet.

Cornholio felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ryan tries to stand but Cornholio is controlling from the bottom.
Cornholio is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Cornholio kicks Ryan off and gets to his feet.
Ryan throws the left hand but Cornholio avoids the punch easily.
Cornholio misses with a looping right.
Ryan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Ryan wants to pass the guard but Cornholio is keeping the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Ryan will probably get the nod.

Daniel Ryan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Cornholio has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ryan is working away from the top position though.

Ryan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cornholio looks like he's trying to stand up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cornholio is trying to control the position but Ryan postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Ryan drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cornholio is trying to keep Ryan in close.
Cornholio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ryan manages to get himself to full guard.

Cornholio wants to stand and escape but instead Ryan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Ryan drops back looking for a leg! Cornholio is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cornholio manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into Cornholio's guard.
Cornholio is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ryan gets to his feet - Cornholio follows without any prompting.
Cornholio shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ryan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ryan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cornholio defends it nicely.
Great Cornholio is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ryan misses with a hook.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cornholio tries to close the distance and clinch but Ryan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A slow jab from Ryan misses its intended target.
No luck for Ryan with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Ryan dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cornholio is looking to clinch.
Cornholio avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cornholio looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ryan fails with a takedown attempt.
Some bone on bone action there as Cornholio checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Ryan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cornholio is looking for a sweep.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cornholio has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cornholio wants to control but Ryan postures up.
Cornholio tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ryan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Cornholio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cornholio can't do much from the bottom here.

Ryan is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Cornholio is trying to escape and Ryan transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Cornholio is forced to tap! Nice work there by Ryan! Very nice indeed!

A less than humble Daniel Ryan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
The defeated Great Cornholio had this to say: 'My bunghole...will not be defeated. I will give it TP, and it will awaken in wrath. For I am the great cornholio...I have no bunghole.'.
