Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Michael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Michael!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Michael avoids it really well and circles away.
Michael half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hunt takes a swing at Michael's ribcage but misses.
Hunt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michael swivels and escapes.
Michael throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hunt was covering up waiting for the punch and Michael finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Michael would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michael wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.

Hunt goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Michael rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hunt's guard! Nice work there by Michael!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Michael accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hunt isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Michael stacks Hunt on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Michael!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hunt is looking for a sweep.

Hunt is being controlled here.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Michael rushes Hunt and presses him up against the cage.
Michael tries a knee to the head but Hunt blocks it.
Michael has had enough of the clinch but Hunt keeps him there for the moment.

Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Michael paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Michael was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Michael slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Michael's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hunt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Michael thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hunt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michael swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Michael wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Michael connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Hunt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michael's waist but Michael gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hunt off to one side.

Well Michael has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
