Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Medeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anucha Poopha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anucha Poopha was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poopha uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Medeiros.
A head kick misses from Poopha.
Poopha doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Medeiros steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Poopha.
Medeiros misses with a few strikes there.
Medeiros takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Medeiros seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Medeiros throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Medeiros throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Medeiros is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Poopha really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Medeiros. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Medeiros is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Poopha defends well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Jose Medeiros will probably get the nod.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Medeiros's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Medeiros has hold of Poopha's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Poopha manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
