PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Heinrich Muller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aidan Donnithorne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aidan Donnithorne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Heinrich Muller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aidan Donnithorne!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnithorne fails in his attempt to clinch.
Muller misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Muller throws a nice looking combination but Donnithorne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Muller scores with a punch to the head.
Muller darts in trying to clinch

and Donnithorne counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Muller!
Muller manages to work his way to half guard, despite Donnithorne's best efforts.
Muller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donnithorne on the ground.

Donnithorne is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Muller still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Muller has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Donnithorne wants to control but Muller postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donnithorne wants to get back to his feet but Muller drags him back down.
Donnithorne is trying to improve his position.
Donnithorne is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Muller staying calm.

Muller decides to stand back up. Muller steps back and let's Donnithorne get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Muller fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Donnithorne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Donnithorne has a takedown stuffed.
