Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Marleau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svork Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooh!!! Silva has knocked Marleau down with a huge combo! Silva steps away and waves a wobbly Marleau back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Marleau is rocked!

It looks like Patrick Marleau has been cut.
Silva pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oh Marleau is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Marleau counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Marleau is working for a submission of some sort.

Marleau is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marleau.
Marleau seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marleau wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Marleau is looking for a kimura but Silva is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Marleau to get the leverage.
Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marleau is working away from the top position though.

Marleau looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Marleau wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Marleau prevents Silva from standing back up.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marleau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Marleau is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.

Marleau is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Silva is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
