Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Pruitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pruitt tries to clinch up.
Pruitt circles away from the clinch attempt
and Pruitt counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Rua misses with the combination.
Rua avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rua throws a good cross that connects.

Pruitt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pruitt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pruitt moves in looking to clinch but Rua pushes him off.

Pruitt is trying to break the clinch but Rua is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pruitt is trying to break the clinch but Rua is controlling him.
Rua pushes Pruitt back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
