Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Ott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 'The Sparrow Looks Up At The Machine' by The Flaming Lips kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Oliver Ott has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oliver Ott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Colt Steel! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel blocks a jab. Ott doesn't manage to clinch there - Steel circles away.
Steel staying out of range there. Ott dives in and grabs Steel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steel pushes down on Ott's head and hops out. Ott misses the shot to the body. Steel scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ott fails with the takedown and Steel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Steel. Steel tries to free his leg and advance position but Ott is retaining full guard. Steel content to stall in guard here. Steel is pushing down on Ott's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ott is fighting to maintain full guard but Steel has managed to sneak the leg through. Steel tries to pass to full mount but Ott defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ott is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Steel pulls his head out easily. Steel passes the guard and advances to mount! Ott is squirming around, avoiding Steel's attempts to control the action. Ott in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Steel wants to control the pace but Ott is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steel is landing with some decent strikes but Ott is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Steel goes for an armbar but Ott turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ott. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ott has his hands clasped together but Steel extends and breaks Ott's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Steel.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Colt Steel! During a confident post fight interview, Colt Steel thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
