Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barney Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manny Ortiz looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ortiz rushes Gordon and presses him up against the cage.
Gordon jumps guard but Ortiz stands there with Gordon around his waist. Gordon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ortiz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gordon uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gordon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gordon looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Gordon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ortiz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gordon, into his guard.

Gordon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gordon working for a triangle but Ortiz defends it easily.
Ortiz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gordon throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Ortiz wants to control from the top but Gordon keeps moving.

Ortiz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gordon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ortiz tries to free his leg and advance position but Gordon is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gordon is looking for a triangle but Ortiz pushes his legs off easily.
Gordon keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully.

Gordon pushes a forearm under Ortiz's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ortiz is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
