Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake The Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake The Snake had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Snake works Fernandez's body with a nice hook.
The Snake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fernandez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fernandez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by The Snake.
Fernandez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but The Snake defends well and Fernandez ends up having to push The Snake into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The Snake seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

The Snake is trying to trip Fernandez. He has hold of a leg but Fernandez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. The Snake persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The Snake has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fernandez is looking for a triangle but The Snake pushes his legs off easily.
