The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Mead tenderised Tigh's leg. Tigh is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mead misses with an uppercut.

It looks like Saul Tigh has been cut.
Mead feints a jab promting Tigh to slip. Mead then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tigh slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Mead throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tigh sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mead stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tigh tries to clinch but Mead moves out of range.

Tigh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mead looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mead has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Tigh has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mead is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tigh yanks on the arm and Mead is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tigh.
