Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edson Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Edson Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Dennis!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dennis swings for the body but Santos moves out of range.
Santos loads up on a big right hand but Dennis slips the punch.
Dennis misses with a hook.
Santos misses with an uppercut
and Dennis counters with a series of strikes. Santos will be more careful next time no doubt.
Santos throws a predictable looking body shot
and Dennis counters with a nice body shot.
Dennis displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Dennis scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos misses with a takedown attempt - Dennis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Santos takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dennis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santos manages to avoid it.
Dennis scores with a jab. Santos acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Dennis lands with a good body shot.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dennis checks a leg kick.
Santos darts in looking for a takedown but Dennis gets double underhooks and turns Santos into the cage.

Dennis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Santos throws a looping overhand right but Dennis ducks down to avoid it.
Dennis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Santos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Santos seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A jab from Dennis does it's job there.
Dennis's coach down at Foot Loves was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Dennis's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Dennis lands a nice shot to the body.
Dennis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santos throws out the jab.
Santos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dennis manages to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dennis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Santos has time to react.

Dennis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santos circles away quickly and effectively.
Santos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dennis.
Dennis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Santos throws a body shot but no joy.

Santos shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Santos was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Santos wants to control but Dennis is keeping him busy.

Santos looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Santos tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Santos has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Santos is trying to get an arm triangle but Dennis is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Dennis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dennis cracks Santos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Santos gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dennis throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Daniel Dennis seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dennis moves away.
Santos misses with an uppercut. Dennis saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Santos misses.
Dennis moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Dennis lands a head shot.
Santos misses the jab.

Santos throws a chopping leg kick but Dennis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Dennis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Santos tries to move into range but Dennis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Dennis loads up on a big right hand but Santos slips the punch.
Santos misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dennis counters with a nice body shot.
Santos takes a swing at Dennis's ribcage but misses.
Dennis lands a jab to Santos's midsection.
Dennis's corner calls for a 1-2. Dennis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Santos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Santos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Santos lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Santos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Santos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dennis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dennis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Santos wants to control from the top but Dennis keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dennis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Santos forces his way into half guard.
Santos throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Santos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Santos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dennis is just riding it out for now. Santos eventually gives up the hold.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Santos is working for a submission of some sort.

Santos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dennis sees it coming and defends easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Santos trying to control from half guard but Dennis is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Dennis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Dennis throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Santos takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dennis lunges at Santos with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Santos's hand.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Santos.

Santos walks into a stiff left hand from Dennis.
Dennis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Santos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Dennis takes a swing at Santos's ribcage but misses.
Santos on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dennis swings for the body but Santos moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dennis, as that shot connected.

Dennis scores with a sloppy right hand. Santos should have avoided that one.

Dennis misses with a looping left.
Santos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Santos looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Dennis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Dennis throws a series of punches but Santos avoids them all with ease.
Santos misses with an uppercut
and Dennis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Daniel Dennis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Santos looks to land a left hand but Dennis moved out of range nicely.
Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dennis pinned against the cage. Dennis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dennis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A jab lands there for Dennis.

Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dennis as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edson Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dennis as he jumps to the side.

Dennis jabs Santos to the body, keeping him at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dennis lands with a hook. Santos tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Daniel Dennis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

And that's the end of the fight!
Daniel Dennis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Dennis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
