Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby McBain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Cusow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McBain comes into the arena with The Drunk Scottsman blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cusow tries to clinch but McBain moves out of range.
McBain attempts a counter takedown but Cusow avoids it well and moves away.
McBain seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Cusow is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McBain gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Cusow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McBain circles away from the clinch attempt.
McBain throws a head kick that misses.
Cusow misses with a straight right.
McBain appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dan Cusow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cusow tries to close the distance and clinch up but McBain swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cusow lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McBain is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
McBain takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Cusow lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cusow.
Dan Cusow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cusow throws a right hand that McBain ducks under and follows up with a left that McBain also avoids with ease.
Cusow feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McBains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cusow tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

McBain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McBain stands and throws Cusow's legs to the side, diving into side control.
McBain wants to control but Cusow is keeping him busy.

Cusow should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Cusow is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
McBain is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cusow can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

McBain throws some wild stikes that Cusow manages to avoid easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cusow can do anything to dispel that myth.
McBain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cusow is looking to escape.
McBain throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cusow because McBain loaded up on that one.

McBain is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cusow has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McBain looking to finish with strikes here!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dan Cusow will probably get the nod.

McBain shoots in looking for a takedown. Cusow tries to sprawl out of it but McBain keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cusow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McBain avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dan Cusow seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Cusow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McBain, pushing him back against the cage.

McBain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McBain connects with a nice short shot to Cusow's temple.

McBain is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cusow is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Cusow has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

McBain is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bobby McBain.
I think Cusow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
