Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willy Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Lamel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Willy Cannon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lorenzo Lamel!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cannon's head backwards.


It looks like Willy Cannon has been cut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lamel. That's going to slow Cannon down.
Lamel's coach down at We Are Legion was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lamel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lamel misses with a looping left.
Lamel lands a lovely overhand right.
Cannon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Lamel. Lamel obviously looking to wear him down.
Lamel looks to score with a jab to the body but Cannon is just out of range.
Lamel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cannon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cannon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lamel.
Lamel scores with a decent looking hook.
Cannon looks to land a right hand but Lamel moved out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Cannon as Lamel tries to tie him up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cannon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cannon trying to land knees to the body.
Lamel taking a breather.

Lamel has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cannon regains guard immediately.

Lamel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cannon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lamel's guard.

Lamel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cannon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lamel throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cannon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Lamel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cannon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Cannon with a flurry of punches that miss.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cannon slips a jab from Lamel.
Nice cross by Lamel.
The crowd cheers as Lamel lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cannon doesn't seem phased though.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lamel.


Cannon is rocked!
Cannon sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Cannon walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Cannon limp body while Lamel jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lorenzo Lamel!
A very excited looking Lorenzo Lamel made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
