PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dim Sum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali shoots in but Sum avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ali gets caught flat footed, as Sum shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sum working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ali's head.
Sum won't allow Ali to get back to his feet.
Sum chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sum got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ali has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sum has managed to get both his arms back between Ali's legs - danger averted.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sum connects with a nice short shot to Ali's temple.

Ali changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sum tries to avoid it but Ali manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sum to the ground. Sum escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sum closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ali's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dim Sum dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Bruno Ali is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sum misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sum will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sum works to advance to full mount. Ali defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
