Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Mizuno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jun Mizuno will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jun Mizuno!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez connects with a single shot there.
Sanchez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Mizuno moves out of range easily.
Mizuno throws a series of strikes that have Sanchez backpedaling.
Mizuno throws a leg kick which misses Sanchez's front leg but catches the back leg as Sanchez tries to avoid it.
Sanchez shoots for a takedown but Mizuno saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A punch combination from Sanchez misses.
Mizuno scores with a nice right hand.
Mizuno throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mizuno misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mizuno checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Mizuno dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.
And Mizuno responds with a good body kick, but Sanchez manages to step out the way in time.
Sanchez throws an overhand right that lands on Mizuno's shoulder, as Mizuno tries to avoid the shot.
Sanchez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mizuno misses with a kick to the body.
Sanchez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sanchez moves out of range of the body kick.
Sanchez motions for Mizuno to come forward. Sanchez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Sanchez moves into range and clinches up with Mizuno.
Mizuno scores with a knee to the head.


It looks like Chris Sanchez has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanchez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A head kick from Mizuno lands but Sanchez takes it in his stride.

Sanchez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Sanchez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sanchez is trying to break free.
Sanchez misses with a punch on the inside.
Mizuno lands a knee to the body.
Sanchez is breathing heavily.
Mizuno is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Mizuno connects with a knee to the head.
Mizuno landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Mizuno lands a good knee to the midsection. Sanchez won't want to take too many of those.

Mizuno drops Sanchez with a big knee straight up the middle! Sanchez is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mizuno lands a big head kick that sends Sanchez tumbling to the mat! Mizuno takes a step backwards and waves Sanchez back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Sanchez is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Mizuno uses the oldest trick in the book to send Sanchez tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Mizuno is absolutely delighted - when Sanchez wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jun Mizuno!
