Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vic Prince Gapuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gapuz is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Mickey Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vic Prince Gapuz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Smith!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gapuz paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gapuz is breathing heavily.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gapuz is wriggling around trying to escape.

Smith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gapuz can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Smith is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gapuz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Smith tries to control but Gapuz wriggling away.

Smith is working for a guillotine from mount but Gapuz frees his head quite easily.
Gapuz is trying desperately to improve position.
Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Gapuz has left one of his arms exposed and Smith doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Gapuz screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
