Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jemdet Nasr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Invasion of the Bodysnatcher. Jemdet Nasr will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scott Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jemdet Nasr!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasr closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Nasr tries to clinch up.
Nasr moves in looking to clinch but Peterson pushes him off.
Nasr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nasr is looking to clinch but Peterson is avoiding it.
Nasr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Peterson just misses with a punch to the body.
Nasr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Peterson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Nasr rushes Peterson and presses him up against the cage.

Nasr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peterson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Peterson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nasr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Peterson.
Peterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nasr closes the distance and clinches up with Peterson, looking for a takedown. Nasr pushes Peterson against the cage but Peterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nasr throws the left hand but Peterson avoids the punch easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nasr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nasr catches Peterson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Peterson throws a looping overhand right but Nasr ducks down to avoid it.

Some bone on bone action there as Peterson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nasr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Peterson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Peterson misses with an uppercut. Nasr saw that one coming.
Peterson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
