Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Metallica - Ride the Lightning. Reyes has chosen Bad House Music ('98 Dub Mix) as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Atlas Kivi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Riel Dan Reyes!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes scores with a hook to the body. Kivi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Reyes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kivi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Reyes lands with a straight right. Kivi didn't see that one coming.

Kivi clinches up with Reyes and pushes him back against the cage.
Reyes tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

We've been hearing reports that Kivi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Come on Reyes - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Reyes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kivi - the referee stops the clock and Reyes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kivi. Reyes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kivi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Reyes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kivi is in Reyes's guard.
Reyes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Reyes is trying to control. Kivi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Reyes is nestled in close to Kivi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Reyes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kivi moves away.

and Reyes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kivi's guard.

Well Reyes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
