Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Casablancas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Casablancas might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gers Pardoel - Bagagedrager ft. Sef . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casablancas connects with a solid leg kick.
Matthews walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Matthews has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Casablancas gets tackled into the cage by Matthews. Matthews maintains the clinch.
Casablancas digs a right hand into Matthews's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Matthews's gas tank.

Matthews has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Casablancas clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
I really don't envy Casablancas right now.

Casablancas tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Matthews postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Casablancas in real trouble here! The ref calls for Casablancas to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

A relieved looking Max Matthews thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
