Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mozart - Lacrimosa. Belt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dance of the Knights. Montgomery Nagendra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Montgomery Nagendra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Red Belt!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belt feints and as Nagendra raises his hands in defense, Belt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Belt looking to sit in guard and control but Nagendra gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Belt is trying to control the position but Nagendra postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belt looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nagendra puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nagendra looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belt.
Belt wants to control but Nagendra passes easily into half guard.

Belt is doing well to control the position and prevent Nagendra from advancing to side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Belt drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nagendra dives on top into guard.

Belt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nagendra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Belt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Belt closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nagendra quickly recovers to half guard.

Belt tries to reverse the position but Nagendra maintains control.
Nagendra can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belt is looking to escape.

Belt tries to hold on but Nagendra pushes him away.
Nagendra prevents Belt from getting the reversal.
Belt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Belt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Belt is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nagendra wants to take his opponent's back but Belt doesn't allow it.
Belt sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Belt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nagendra perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Belt shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nagendra's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Red Belt will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Nagendra's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Belt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Belt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nagendra tries to buck Belt off but Belt is having none of it.

Belt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nagendra is just riding it out for now. Belt eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Belt is looking to advance position but Nagendra won't allow it.
Belt has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nagendra is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Nagendra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Belt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nagendra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Belt shoots in and gets a takedown into Nagendra's guard.

Nagendra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Belt's guard.


Belt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nagendra tries to free his leg and advance position but Belt is retaining full guard.

Red Belt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Belt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
