The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lanes tries to clinch but James moves out of range.
Nice body punch from James.
Lanes tries to move into range but James moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
James stuffs the takedown attempt from Lanes. Lanes gets slowly back to his feet.
Tony Lanes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lanes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from James finds it's way round the side to connect with Lanes's head.
James takes a swing at Lanes's ribcage but misses.
James lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Lanes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lanes shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lanes fails in his attempt to clinch.

James lands a big right hand that sends Lanes crashing to the mat! James stays standing though and waves Lanes back to his feet!

It looks like Tony Lanes has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lanes darts in and clinches James up against the cage.

James drops Lanes onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Lanes is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

James has Lanes pressed against the cage. Lanes drops his hands and James takes advantage by unloading with a massive hook that sends Lanes tumbling to the canvas! James rains down with more punches but Lanes was already out! That's a highlight reel knockout for James!
