Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Shlemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinan Cavus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Shlemenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sinan Cavus!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cavus has closed the distance and engaged Shlemenko in a clinch.
Cavus throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shlemenko blocks it with crossed arms.
Cavus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shlemenko smiles and moves away.
Shlemenko misses with a takedown attempt - Cavus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Shlemenko closes the distance and pushes Cavus back into the cage.
Cavus tries to circle away but Shlemenko has him pinned against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shlemenko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cavus controls the pace.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shlemenko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cavus defends well and Shlemenko ends up having to push Cavus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Shlemenko makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Shlemenko is looking to take this one to the mat.

Shlemenko dives in and grabs Cavus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cavus pushes down on Shlemenko's head and hops out.

Cavus shoots in looking for a takedown. Shlemenko tries to sprawl out of it but Cavus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shlemenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cavus closes the distance and clinches up with Shlemenko, looking for a takedown. Cavus pushes Shlemenko against the cage but Shlemenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Alexander Shlemenko will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
