Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kendrick George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George gets in close and instigates a clinch.
George prevents Lee from breaking the clinch.
George with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

George lands a takedown into guard.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but George is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
George controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

George gets to his feet. Lee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lee throws a nice looking combination but George bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

George gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

George keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lee's efforts to push away.
George prevents Lee from breaking the clinch.

George breaks the clinch.

George looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lee!
George throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
George is staying tight to Lee's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee parries the strikes from George easily there. George is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lee to escape.

George decides to stand back up.
George fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lee loads up on a big right hand but George slips the punch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Lee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

George pushes Lee up against the cage in a clinch.

Lee turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
George tries to buck Lee off but Lee is having none of it.

Lee decides to stand up, so the ref orders George to his feet.

George has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
George keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lee's efforts to push away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lee decides to pull guard.

Lee manages to escape and get back to his feet.
George dodges the punch combination from Lee.
Lee swinging wildly here.
Lee looks winded!

George closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lee quickly recovers to half guard.

George stands up from half guard.
George will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

George throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
George seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

George stands up from Lee's guard - George perhaps looking for a knockout.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kendrick George will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lee tries a head kick but it misses.

George clinches with his opponent.
Lee is trying to force a seperation but George has the dominant position.

George breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
George is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
A decent looking cross lands there for Lee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

George has managed to clinch.

George breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee's jab looks to have found its range, popping George under the eye.

George rushes Lee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee swings away with an uppercut that misses.

George breaks from the clinch.
George tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lee manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Lee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and George counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by George.
George misses with a knee strike.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

George breaks from the clinch.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but George moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

George clinches.
George is pushing Lee up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

George breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bruce Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
George fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but George circles away quickly and effectively.
Lee scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.

George feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lee is breathing heavily.
George content to stall in guard here.
George seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lee for as long as he can get away with.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kendrick George overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

George decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!

George clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

George manages to pull guard.
George bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

George throwing strikes but missing.
George is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
George wants to get up but he can't break Lee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

George decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lee, up you get!

Lee gets caught flat footed, as George shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
George is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
George continues to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kendrick George dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

George seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

George decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Lee is working an open guard so George takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lee slips a jab from George.
Kendrick George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

George closes the distance and clinches.
Lee wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but George has him pressed against the cage.
Lee looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Lee stalling in the clinch but George improves position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee tries to break the clinch but George is controlling the position.

George has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lee regains guard immediately.
George will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
George throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
George throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Lee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst George is controlling him.
George really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

George stands up and waves to Lee to follow him.
Lee fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches George on the side of the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee fails to land with a series of punches.
George fails to land the takedown.
A punch combination from Lee misses.
George throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

George throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. George is in Lee's guard.

George gets to his feet - Lee follows without any prompting.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
George shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lee sprawls well. Lee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. George gets slowly back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Lee gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows George to score an easy takedown into full guard.
George engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as George accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kendrick George showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for George, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
